Armenistis Lighthouse is one of the characteristic buildings of Mykonos. Located in Fanari area on a hill formerly called Vourvoulakas, which means vampire. It is assumed that the name came to frighten children in order not to approach the cliffs, which were very dangerous. The Lighthouse though, now deserted but still functional, is a well known meeting point for visitors of the island and shelter for young couples due to it’s romantic nature. Its strategic position offers great views, amazing sunsets, as it is an ideal place for contemplation and relaxation. But initially Armenistis was built to avoid accidents at sea. Skoufa Gallery presents “Sea Rhythm,” a special exhibition by Apostolos Chantzaras
Apostolos Chantzaras is an artist known for developing his own visual world of bold lines,
forms and saturated colours, drawing influences from Greek folk shadow theater, ancient
Greek sculptures and Byzantine iconography. A rich legacy of symbols related to Greece,
the sun, the islands, the sea and its fish, the cross, the bathers, all come together in
a unique, perceptible artistic amalgam empowered by strong colors and intense movement.
It was founded by Greek painter Magdalini Sakellaridi when she decided to devote herself to painting. She opened her first studio in Volos, after in Skopelos and finally she came in Mykonos where it has organized art studio-Gallery in Goumenio Square, where it works and exposes, simultaneously. Her subject is mostly the sea. She is painting on canvas and old wood that she transforms in valuable piece of art.

Lifeline Art Studio was opened to the public in 2005, marking a great transition point in Donna’s life, evidence of which can be felt throughout her art portfolio.
